okie-dokie, here's a cool show. i think its very well animated, very nice-looking. its historical fiction, which is rare in anime. the story takes place around when the whole cowboy thing was going on in the wild west, but the story is in japan, and we get to see a rare glimps of what another part of the world was like in the late 1800's. the main character is a warrior who was a manslayer during a war. the war resulted in a european controlled puppet government, and though kenshin (the char) wants peace and submission to the laws, he is unhappy with how the government resulted. therefor, there's alot of political stuff in the story. there's side issues about democracy, government corruption, and revolution, and kenshin tends not to pick sides. he never kills, and what's awsome about that is we all know its fanciful and naive, and the show keeps proving again and again how kenshin's nonviolence is only a temporary solution, and that he wont be able to really make the world a better place by himself. i love this one, and it comes on afte yu yu hakusho. (ooh, also some cool historical references, such as the introduction of chocolate to japan, the very first train japan has seen, the terrible effect that guns have on the old samuria, and sanosuke's terrible fear of soul-sucking cameras) ~~~~~~hassan

What's Battosai/Kenshin's special technique? And who did he first use it against?

Oh, did I say 'special technique'? My bad! I meant 'ultimate attack'! Sorry, 'drew... Anyways, I did figure out what it was called (after watching the show every Saturday night at 11), even though Himura only says it a few times. His sword-style is Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu and his ultimate attack is the Amakakeru-Ryu-no-Hirameki!I think he first uses it against Shinomori Aoshi (although I could be wrong, seeing as I missed a thousand episodes in between), defeating him, then one last time against Soujiro before the final battle with Shishio. I could say how Himura defeated Shishio (or did Shishio win? You never know!), but that would be a spoiler. And Carrey better keep his mouth shut too if he knows what's good for him...
