BREAKING NEWS: SADDAM LIVE AND CAPTURED!
By Augie
December 14th, 2003
TIKRIT, Iraq
Saddam Hussein was found at last earlier this morning hiding in a tunnel dug in the basement floors of an old farmhouse in his hometown of Tikrit, Iraq. He has officially been captured, and now remains in US custody. UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and US President George W. Bush both confirmed the 'tyrant was found'.
Wisely, I chose to interview the (our) Administrator and founder of Jeremy's Dang Message Boards, Jeremy LM, to see what he had to say of the matter:
AUGIE: Before we begin, I'd like to thank you for your time, Administrator. I mean, I know you're a very busy man and all, and that--
JEREMY: No sweat, kid! And please, call me Jeremy.
A: Ok, Jeremy. My question for you is: Where were you at the the time this event occured and what were you doing?
J: Wow, uh, ok. Well, I guess I was probably in my room, in bed, asleep. It wasn't until 7:00 AM this morning that I actually heard about the incident. But what does that have anything to do with--
A: --Moving on! Had you or had you not already eaten your breakfast at the moment you first heard word of the news? If so, what did you eat?
J: Even though I don't see what any of this has to do with with Saddam's capture, I'll tell you anyways. Yes, I was eating breakfast at the time. A bowl of Wheaties to be exact. And yes, at the moment I heard the breaking news 'Saddam Hussein Finally Captured!', I began to choke. I couldn't believe my ears!
A: Last question: What are your thoughts on the matter?
J: Well, when I first heard they found him [Saddam] in a hole underground, I laughed. Not at Saddam, but the irony of it.
A: Once again, thankyou for your time, Administrator.
J: Like I said before, 'No sweat, kid!'
It was only hours ago that the Administrator was Christmas shopping for his family when he overheard the breaking news on a radio for sale at the store. His comments were, "Damn, I should've bought that."
As for myself? Well...
After waking up from two phone calls downstairs and mum exclaiming, I came to the bridge and asked, "What is it?" and my father said, "They found Saddam." I exclaimed, "Oh my God! They did?! Oh my God!" and ran downstairs to watch the news.
This is a joyous occasion for the people of Iraq, America, and the rest of the world. Now, with Saddam out of the way, we are left with Osama bin Laden.
