It just recently occurred to me that I primarily type with my index, middle, and thumbs. I might use my ring fingers and pinkies for some keys, such as backspace, but other than that, I am a thumb typist! I never actually knew this until I randomly thought about it and watched my hands as I typed.
How do you guys type? What is your style?

hmmm, I use all my fingers when typing/gaming no finger is off-position, the finger the I use the least is my right ring finger, but even then I can press Enter with it. For example I write "hahaha" with my left hand, index in H pinkie in A, is much more comfortable. idk Weird but effective. But yeah Index, Middle Finger and Ring Finger, both hands all in letters, Thumbs and Pinkies in command keys (like Shift/Ctrl). It works for me

I do a lot of typing on my iPad, so only use my two thumbs for everything. Still manage 60 words per minute, pretty decent.
On physical keyboards though, oh man, it’s terrible. I have my left pinky on the side of the keyboard as a sort of relevancy indicator or something. My left thumb for space. Right pinky for shift. Lots of rapid fire pecking with my pointer and middle fingers for everything else, though I use every finger now and then.
It’s sad how many keys I don’t know the position of, though. Like I have everything I normally use down, even the command key and whatnot. But semicolons can heck off. Also numbers, sometimes. It’s pretty embarrassing. I can usually manage around 80 WPM somehow though. I can only imagine how fast I’d be if I actually knew how to type.

You can always practice to get better though. And if you use a physical keyboard, it's better for your hands and wrists. I can do pretty decently even though my style is frowned upon, since I don't type the way I was originally taught. I need to retrain myself I guess.
