I own an e-Reader of my own. I don't know if you would call it a game system, but if you collect a bunch of Pokémon cards, you can scan a few of them and play a cool mini-game! However, not all Pokémon e-Cards have the side-scan barcode (bottom-scan to check out the card digitally). But, even with the side-scan barcode, not all Pokémon e-Cards can scan to play a game. Some, you can actually scan for the Melody Box! Like for example, some cards may be Sound, Music, or Patterns for your Pokémon Melody Box! It's really quite fun to listen to your tunes in different instruments, watching Clefairy dance before different patterns! Besides the TCG, Pokémon plays another role with the e-Reader. Ruby & Sapphire! These new 'Battle e-Cards' are the BOMB! It's like a link cable Trainer Battle, but you don't have to link up to battle!. All you need is your GBA, a friend's GBA, an e-Reader, one(1) GBA link cable, and you're all set to battle! If you're not into Pokémon, there are many other things you can do with the e-Reader. You can buy game packs at the store and scan them to play a full classic game. Or you can buy other e-Cards that serve another purpose (GBA and 'cube link-up). Overall, the e-Reader is fun, fascinating, and totally awesome!
